Atletico Paranaense vs Bahia: where to watch live, kickoff time and lineups

Atletico Paranaense vs Bahia where to watch is the first question for anyone following Matchday 28 of the Brazilian Serie A 2026. The match is scheduled for Sunday, September 20, 2026, at 7:30 p. m. Brasilia time, at Arena da Baixada in Curitiba. It brings together two clubs in the upper part of the table and can directly affect the race for a Copa Libertadores place.

That narrow gap gives the fixture immediate weight: a home win would strengthen Atletico Paranaense's position in the top four, while a Bahia win could pull the Salvador club closer to direct qualification territory.

Where to watch Atletico Paranaense vs Bahia live

At this stage, no TV channel or streaming service has been confirmed for Atletico Paranaense vs Bahia in the accessible programming sources. Fans should check the official schedules from rights holders again closer to kickoff, when match broadcast information is often updated.

Once there is confirmation, the most useful information for readers will be simple: channel, streaming platform and regional coverage. Without a match-specific announcement, there is no reliable basis to name a broadcaster or app as the live provider.

Atletico Paranaense vs Bahia lineups

The official lineups for Atletico Paranaense vs Bahia have not been released yet. In Brazilian Serie A matches, starting XIs are normally confirmed close to kickoff, after the teams arrive at the stadium and the official lists are published.

There is also no reliable full probable lineup for both sides in the available material. For that reason, the responsible approach is to treat the lineups as pending and avoid player lists without a source. Fans should follow the clubs' official channels and the match sheet on matchday to confirm starters, substitutes and any late absences.

Refereeing

The referee for Atletico Paranaense vs Bahia has not been announced yet. The same applies to the VAR crew. Once the official assignment is released, it will be the reference point for the main referee, assistants and video booth.

That information matters because the match brings together two teams close in the table with similar objectives. In fixtures with direct impact on the Libertadores zone, card management, wide free kicks and VAR reviews can influence the rhythm of the game.

Table situation

Atletico Paranaense arrive in 3rd place, inside a round with direct impact near the top, with 45 points, 13 wins, 6 draws and 7 losses. Their goal difference is plus 10, with 38 goals scored and 28 conceded. Their recent form is L-D-W-D-W, a sequence that shows some fluctuation but also the ability to respond within a solid campaign.

Bahia sit 5th, with 43 points, 11 wins, 10 draws and 5 losses. They have a plus 8 goal difference, with 40 scored and 32 conceded. Their recent form is W-W-W-D-D, the mark of a team arriving unbeaten in the short term and collecting points regularly.

Bahia's away record is the strongest detail for this matchup. They have 6 wins, 4 draws and 3 losses away from home, with 20 goals scored and 19 conceded. For a match in Curitiba, that record reduces any automatic reading of home favoritism and makes the fixture more balanced.

Recent history

In the last five listed matches between Bahia and Atletico Paranaense, Bahia won twice, Atletico Paranaense won once and two games ended in draws. The most recent meeting was Bahia 3-0 Atletico Paranaense on April 1, 2026, at Arena Fonte Nova, in Serie A Matchday 9.

Before that, Bahia and Atletico Paranaense drew 1-1 in November 2024, a useful comparison point next to guides such as matchday 26 of the Brazilian Serie A. In July 2024, Bahia won 3-1 in Curitiba. In November 2023, there was another 1-1 draw in Salvador. Atletico Paranaense's most recent win in this sample came in July 2023, when they won 2-0 at home.

What to expect from the match

The first axis of the match is home advantage. Atletico Paranaense have strong numbers in Curitiba and concede few goals at home. If they control territory from the start, Arena da Baixada can become a real advantage, especially through set pieces, counter-pressing and sustained attacks.

The second axis is Bahia's response away from home. Their away campaign is not passive: Bahia have scored 20 goals in 13 away matches and won nearly half of those fixtures. That points to a visitor capable of competing through possession, transition or a more compact block, depending on the setup chosen for the night.

The third axis is the table. With only two points separating the clubs, the match is worth more than a normal round in the upper-table picture. Earlier context from Brazilian Serie A round 4 shows how quickly the table picture can move across the season. Atletico Paranaense are trying to protect a Copa Libertadores group-stage position. Bahia are trying to move closer to the top four and strengthen their continental qualification place.

Players to watch

Because there are no official lineups and no reliable named projection for this match, attention should stay on the roles that are confirmed closer to kickoff. For Atletico Paranaense, the front-line starters and full-backs will matter if the team look for width and pressure at home. For Bahia, the initial shape will show whether the priority is to accelerate down the flanks or control midfield away from home.

The safest reading for now is to wait for the official lists before highlighting specific players. That avoids turning expectation into confirmed information and keeps the guide aligned with what is already verified.
