Polymarket US fee update — November 7, 2026: From November 6 at 1:00 PM ET, the official standard taker schedule uses Θ of 0.095 below $10,000, 0.085 from $10,000 to below $50,000, 0.075 from $50,000 to below $250,000, and 0.0695 at $250,000 or more in qualifying trailing-30-day taker volume. The fee is Θ × contracts × price × (1 − price). For one fill of 100 contracts at $0.50, those fees are $2.38, $2.12, $1.88 and $1.74, respectively, before rebates and other costs. Θ is not a flat percentage of the investment.

New accounts use 0.0695 for their first seven ET calendar days from their first fill. Days 8–30 use the higher of first-seven-day volume × 30/7 and trailing volume; transition accounts and November's October-volume protection can also receive better tiers. Overrides and the coefficient fixed when an order is inserted matter. Table tennis now uses the standard ladder; combos remain separate. Rebate windows also moved to daily trailing-30-day measurement. The updated Polymarket US review explains volume, rounding and exceptions.

Scope of the comparisons below: Every Polymarket US $1.74 midpoint, $0.63 at $0.10/$0.90, and $51.74 total example assumes Θ = 0.0695 and one fill, without rebates. These remain valid conditional examples, not a universal current rate or a live quote. At Θ = 0.095, the midpoint fee is $2.38 and the entry debit is $52.38; comparisons with a $2.00 competing fee reverse at that coefficient. Other brands' facts retain their original review date.

The Polymarket US vs Fanatics Markets choice comes down to how you want to trade and what you count as a return. Polymarket US offers a dedicated exchange account with market and limit orders. Fanatics Markets combines event-contract trading with sports discovery, combo quotes and the Fanatics rewards ecosystem. A reward can be useful without making a trade profitable.

Our verdict: Start with Polymarket US if explicit price controls and a dedicated exchange workflow matter most. Consider Fanatics Markets if you are eligible, its sports experience suits you and you already have a practical use for its rewards. Compare the exact contract, executable price, fees and exit before choosing either.

Checked November 5, 2026. We reviewed official product documents and fee schedules. The examples below are hypothetical calculations, not simultaneous live quotes or results from funded accounts. Macro Markets publishes this comparison and operates a competing crypto-native platform, disclosed below.

The Polymarket US fee row refers to the standard taker schedule; exceptions and eligible rebates are explained below. Fanatics' fee row refers to published maximums for purchases and sales, not a guaranteed charge. Fanatics also applies account approval and location checks; the 21+ baseline does not establish access to every contract.

These differences describe the products, not a permanent ranking of execution quality. A recognizable brand, a broad menu or an advertised reward does not tell you how much an actual order will cost.

Understand the Exchange and the Account

Polymarket's US product overview distinguishes its regulated, US-dollar exchange from international Polymarket, which is a separate blockchain-based product. Here, Polymarket US means the US exchange experience, not access to an international account or its positions.

Fanatics Markets gives the customer a different relationship with the trading venue. Its current website identifies Morton St. Trading Investments, LLC, doing business as Fanatics Markets, as a registered futures commission merchant, or FCM, and says contracts are offered through Crypto.com Derivatives North America, or CDNA. An FCM handles a customer relationship; it is not automatically the exchange listing every contract.

The FCM customer agreement sets out the brokerage relationship. Fanatics also retains IB risk disclosures describing Paragon Global Markets, LLC, doing business as Fanatics Markets IB, as an introducing broker. Those older-path documents and the FCM materials should not be combined into a claim that every account follows both arrangements.

Read the agreement presented to your account. Identify who carries your funds, the listing exchange and the applicable contract rules. A launch announcement is insufficient evidence of the arrangement offered to a customer today.

Similar Questions Can Have Different Rules

Two contracts about the same team can still differ in event date, selected outcome, overtime treatment or cancellation rules. An economic contract can reference an initial release while another uses a revised figure. Similar titles do not establish equivalent exposure.

Match the outcome, deadline, official source and exceptional-event treatment before comparing prices. Treat positions on the two venues as separate: an order on one book does not create the right to sell the position on the other.

Trading Fees: Compare the Same Quantity and Price

The Polymarket US fee schedule uses the standard taker formula:

Conditional example at Θ = 0.0695: fee = 0.0695 × contracts × price × (1 − price)

Price is expressed in dollars. Fees use banker's rounding to cents. Table tennis uses the same tier ladder; combo contracts have separate treatment, and eligible rebates can affect net costs. The following calculations exclude those exceptions and rebates.

Fanatics' FCM fee disclosure, effective September 2, 2026, publishes price-dependent maximum fees for contracts bought or sold. It rounds the order-level fee upward to a whole cent and recalculates from execution price. The table below uses its published maximums, not a claim that every order receives that exact charge.

A Hypothetical Purchase of 100 Contracts

Assume each contract can settle at $1. The potential settlement payout is $100, while the premium depends on the purchase price.

Price Polymarket US fee Fanatics maximum
$0.10 $0.63 $1.60
$0.50 $1.74 $2.00
$0.90 $0.63 $1.60

At $0.50, the premium is $50. The illustrated entry debit is $51.74 on Polymarket US and up to $52 on Fanatics under the cited maximum. The difference is $0.26 at that assumed execution price, before other costs.

This is a controlled arithmetic comparison. It does not establish that both venues list an economically identical contract or offer 100 contracts at that price at the same time.

Execution can outweigh the illustrated gap. Paying one cent more on each of 100 contracts adds $1 to the premium. A platform with a lower explicit fee can therefore deliver a worse entry if the available purchase price is sufficiently higher.

Use the order confirmation to compare total debit and filled quantity. For a different position size, our prediction-market fee calculator helps separate premium, explicit fees and potential payout. Check the current product schedule before relying on any saved calculation.

Funding, Early Exit and Money You Can Withdraw

An entry fee is only one part of the trip from depositing money to receiving it back. Track funding cost, trade cost, the sale price or settlement result and any clearance requirements separately.

Under Fanatics' cited fee disclosure, ACH deposits are free. Debit card, Apple Pay, PayPal or Venmo deposits may carry a fee of up to 2%, disclosed before funding. Fanatics lists no withdrawal fee to supported payment methods; bank charges and wire conditions require separate checking.

At that deposit-fee ceiling, a hypothetical $500 deposit costs $10. That is much larger than the $0.26 entry-fee difference in the midpoint example. It is a reason to inspect the funding method, not a prediction that every Fanatics deposit costs $10.

Polymarket US's funding guide lists bank, card and other supported methods, including USDC on iPhone where available. Some deposits can provide buying power before they clear for withdrawal. USDC funding does not turn a US exchange position into an international Polymarket position.

Selling Early Creates Another Execution Decision

Suppose you acquire 100 contracts and later see a 60-cent price. Selling all of them at that price would create $60 of gross sale proceeds. It does not establish what you can withdraw: the order must fill, applicable fees reduce proceeds, and funding or compliance holds can still matter.

Fanatics' schedule covers sales as well as purchases. Polymarket US also applies its relevant trading schedule to an executed sale. Estimate the complete round trip rather than subtracting only the opening charge.

A displayed position value can be an indication rather than an executable bid for your full quantity. The book can change during submission, a market can halt, or a position can become difficult to close. Neither product should be chosen on an assumption of guaranteed cash out.

FanCash, Sports Discovery and Order Controls

Fanatics' rewards ecosystem is a real product distinction, but it belongs on a separate line from cash trading results. Its Markets FanCash terms point customers to the applicable loyalty program and product-specific conditions.

The Fanatics ONE FanCash terms describe a loyalty currency redeemable on eligible transactions, with account, offer and expiration conditions. That is different from a freely withdrawable dollar balance. Do not assume a reward pays the trading fee in cash or cancels a losing position.

For your own comparison, ask whether you would make the eligible purchase without the reward. If not, the advertised value may overstate what the benefit is worth to you. Keep reward value, cash profit and deposits in separate calculations.

Cash trading result shown as proceeds minus premium and fees, separately from FanCash eligible uses, offer rules and expiry
Cash trading result and loyalty value are separate calculations. Funding costs, taxes and withdrawal-clearance requirements are additional considerations; FanCash redemption terms apply.

Fanatics also documents combo pricing through a request for quote, or RFQ, process: an order is transmitted to the exchange and liquidity providers may respond. A combo can be convenient, but a quote is not guaranteed and its contract rules can differ from a simple binary market. Read each outcome and the treatment of interruptions before submitting.

Where Polymarket US Offers More Explicit Price Control

Polymarket US's order-type documentation describes market and limit orders. A limit order sets an acceptable price boundary; it does not guarantee a complete fill. Unfilled quantity can remain open under the chosen instructions.

That matters when you want to choose the maximum entry price or minimum sale price yourself. A resting limit can also remain unfilled while the market moves away. Choosing a control means accepting its trade-off, not eliminating execution risk.

Inspect the actual Fanatics ticket rather than assuming every Polymarket control exists in the same form. Likewise, the presence of limit orders on Polymarket US does not prove it has deeper liquidity in the contract you want.

Our prediction-market apps guide explains the broader choice between dedicated exchanges, intermediary interfaces and other product models.

Eligibility, Location and Settlement

Fanatics' public disclosures use a 21-or-older US-resident baseline. Its availability page lists supported states and territories. That list is narrower than nationwide access and can change; verify your physical location and account decision before funding.

The location support guidance warns that traveling to an unsupported jurisdiction can prevent buying additional contracts or selling open positions. Check access at your intended exit location, not only where you open the position.

A Fanatics retail, loyalty or Sportsbook account does not by itself establish Markets eligibility. Similarly, an international Polymarket account does not establish eligibility for Polymarket US. Account approval and permission to trade a particular market are separate checks.

Settlement depends on the exchange rule and contract specification. Polymarket US's resolution guide explains how its defined outcomes are resolved. Fanatics customers must consult the relevant CDNA specification. A sports score feed or a headline is not a substitute for the designated settlement source.

For either product, check the observation time, time zone, official result and handling of postponements, cancellations or corrected data. Our US prediction-market legality guide provides broader background on access and regulatory distinctions.

Where Macro Markets Fits

Macro Markets is our own crypto-native prediction-market alternative. We disclose that commercial interest and include it for readers who want to compare crypto funding and a different account model alongside the two US products.

Assess the current markets, supported assets, custody arrangement, network and platform costs, withdrawal conditions, liquidity and resolution rules. Crypto funding can suit a preference without guaranteeing a lower total cost or access from every jurisdiction.

Macro Markets is not presented here as a CFTC-designated US exchange or as a route into Polymarket US or CDNA. A similar question on a different platform does not make the resulting position transferable between venues.

If neither US workflow fits, our Polymarket US alternatives and Fanatics Markets alternatives offer a broader shortlist. Apply the same eligibility, rule and execution checks to every option, including our own platform.

Frequently Asked Questions and Final Verdict

Is Polymarket US the Same as International Polymarket?

No. They are distinct products. This comparison concerns the US-dollar exchange experience, not international Polymarket's blockchain-based account, contracts or fee schedule.

Is Fanatics Markets Its Own Exchange?

Fanatics' current materials describe a regulated intermediary relationship and contracts offered through CDNA. Read the agreement for your account to identify the entity carrying or introducing it and the exchange listing the contract.

Which Has Lower Trading Fees?

In our standard 100-contract examples, the Polymarket US taker formula produces lower fees than Fanatics' published maximums at the three illustrated prices. Actual execution price, applicable fees, rebates, funding and exit costs still determine the total result.

Is FanCash the Same as Withdrawable Profit?

No. FanCash is a loyalty currency with eligible redemption rules and conditions. Evaluate it separately from cash trading proceeds, and check the specific offer rather than assuming its displayed value is available for withdrawal.

Can I Sell Before the Event Ends?

Potentially, if trading is available and the order can execute. Check the bid, quantity, fees and physical-location restrictions. A visible position value does not guarantee a buyer at that price.

Which Should I Choose?

Choose Polymarket US when a dedicated exchange workflow and explicit order-price controls fit your needs. Choose Fanatics Markets when you are eligible and its sports discovery, combo workflow and usable rewards provide enough value after costs.

For Polymarket US vs Fanatics Markets, the strongest decision rule is to compare the same exposure in cash terms first, then value any reward separately. Confirm the venue, contract, location, total debit and realistic exit. The better fit is the product that passes those checks for your intended trade.
